While in our time it has become common for musicians to specialize in a single field as performers, conductors, composers, musicologists or theorists, during the classical period on the contrary it was far more common to attain skills and be active in several of these areas at once. Furthermore, it was also common for period musicians to become versatile on more than one instrument, or work in some some fields even not related to music. In one instance we even have an example of a composer who was an Inn-keeper too!
The "Composer's Activities" is therefore designed to list all of these activities for everyone interested to reference and research these composers' biographies further.
